That way Wine automatically set them to cdrom.

I set it to Windows XP for DVDShrink, and I made sure to have cd's in both my drives before doing that autodetect. We don't want the global settings changed. I also just set winecfg to only use NT4 for DVDDecrypter. I did make the mistake of just overwriting the Wine version of quartz.dll with the version you supplied instead of renaming it first. I don't have any Sony protected dvd's to test, but I did a rip of a 2004 vintage dvd tonight. I just hope that RipIt4Me can make the PSL file now. Thanks for the great find regarding quartz.dll version and overide needed.

And K9Copy has a newer update in Debian now that I haven't used yet either. That was interesting! But if it could mess up Linux imagine what that crap can do to Windows! I'll stick to Linux and RipIt4Me in Wine if I can get it working well enough. Fortunately, uninstalling DVDFab from Wine fixed K3B.

I buy old stuff! And DVDFab stuff has that patin-couflin (or however it's spelled) drivers that even interfered with K3B on Linux! K3B totally wiped my multisession cdr when I tried adding files to it while I was experimenting with DVDFabHDDecrypter in Wine (which didn't rip copy-protected dvd's correctly anyway). I may not want to bother with it if I can be satisfied in Linux using these available programs in Wine. AnyDVD seems to be under some attention by those legal eagles now. I've hesitated in installing any of my questionable ripping stuff in my fresh 98SE or XP installs yet. I've already got 0.9.44 so I'll just leave that for now. I wasn't aware that Debian has really come far in getting the newer versions integrated into the system. I've already installed Wine through the winehq budget dedicated Debian repo. I just kept using RipIt4Me because of its easy integrated running of blanking and FixVTS functions. I've told you of my work-arounds to get through the process, but that only is great for DVD's that DVDDecrypter could have done on its own anyway.

I'll try it again once it's all installed, but mine never could do it before. Your RipIt4Me successfully creates those PSL files? I've yet to see that happen, and that's the major point of RipIt4Me. I just downloaded your package again, which I'm assuming includes that quartz.dll I need? It will be great to actually have a non-crashing DVDShrink! Sounds better, strangely, too), and installing 98SE, XP, and Debian Lenny. I can actually mute the PCM and use the headphone volume when I plug them into the LiveDriveIR. I've returned from my adventure of wiping everything, switching to an SBLive 5.1 Platinum (which by the way is better supported by Alsa in Linux I've discovered, than the Audigy 2 ZS, which is jimmy rigged with the SBLive files. Thanks! I just got back into thinking of getting all this dvd ripping stuff installed again.
